| Goal of research: | To establish my wife's Spanish ancestry in order to apply for Spanish citizenship. My wife was born in Havana, Cuba and is a naturalized American citizen. |

| Additional Notes: | Dorrego & Fernandez (my wife's grandparents) emigrated to Cuba from A Curuņa in 1907.
Evaristo Prado (another grandparent) was born in Spain, emigrated to Cuba circa 1890-1895 as a child. We don't know from which city in Spain, however. He would have to have sailed with his mother, whose name is Mercedes Prado.

Without having specific birthdates, the only avenue of research we can see would be to search ship's manifests in 1907 from A Curuña, Spain or nearby ports of embarkation to Havana, Cuba for the names Dorrego & Balbina Fernandez.

Mercedes Prado Luna would have traveled with Evaristo Prado her child in 1894 from A Curuña or nearby port to Havana, Cuba. A search of ships' mainfests would likely identify these individuals and thereby make finding Evaristo Prado's birth records in Spain a lot more doable.
